Tilly Jane Trail #600A climbs the northeast side of Mt. Hood from Cloud Cap Saddle Campground, at 5,870 feet, to the Timberline Trail #600 at 6,650 feet. The route climbs through the remains of a 2008 wildfire inside the Mount Hood Wilderness. It’s also a popular ski trail.

It starts with a gentle descent by two spurs to Tilly Jane Campground and a crossing of Tilly Jane Creek, then climbs into the wilderness. The Tilly Jane Shelter is about 0.1 mile up the Timberline Trail. The drive up Cloud Cap Road is narrow and twisting, and high clearance or 4WD might be needed. See our Tilly Jane Sno-Park page for more on the area.
