This spur climbs to the east ridge of Lamberson Butte on Mount Hood’s east flank, inside the Mount Hood Wilderness, and the reward at the top is an excellent view of the mountain. The Gnarl Ridge fire burned across this slope, and the burn left wide views the trail lacked before.

From the Polallie Trailhead on Oregon Highway 35, take East Fork Trail #650 for 0.1 mile and Elk Meadows Trail #645 for 2 miles to the junction at 3,800 feet. Lamberson Spur Trail #644 then crosses an old road, Forest Road 3510-620, and climbs at a moderate grade for 1.7 miles to its end at 5,120 feet.
