At just 0.3 mile, Devils Tie Trail #767 is a short but handy link in the Mount Hood Wilderness. It climbs steadily from the southern section of Burnt Lake Trail #772 up to Zigzag Mountain Trail #775, and it is also a way to reach Cast Lake Trail #796.

It mostly serves loops. One runs about 8.5 miles: 2.4 miles northeast on Burnt Lake Trail, up Devils Tie, 3.5 miles west on Zigzag Mountain Trail, then West Zigzag Mountain Trail #789 south for 2.3 miles back to your starting trailhead. You can also start at Riley Horse Camp, off Lolo Pass Road (Forest Road 18) north of Zigzag, and climb Cast Creek Trail #773 to Zigzag Mountain Trail.
