Corral Springs Trail #507 drops from Lookout Springs, at 3,960 feet, to the Roaring River at 1,880 feet, roughly 2.6 miles in all. It’s a rugged one: very steep, with narrow tread in places. At 0.4 mile it meets Huxley Lake Trail #521, and shortly after it crosses into the Roaring River Wilderness.

Below the junction the trail heads southeast and downhill for 1.1 miles, then winds through switchbacks for another 1.1 miles to the river, where you’ll find a rustic camping spot. The hike back climbs every foot of that drop. Lookout Springs is 12.5 miles up Abbott Road (Forest Road 4610), which leaves Highway 224 across from Promontory Park.
