Few hikers use Tygh Creek Trail #460, which climbs through the southeastern part of the Badger Creek Wilderness and offers plenty of solitude. It runs from a small parking area on Forest Road 27, reached from Tygh Valley, up to Flag Point Road (Forest Road 2730-200), gaining about 2,900 feet.

The trail stays with Tygh Creek for 0.4 mile, then turns uphill below Pen Point to the Jordan Cutoff Trail #462 junction. Keep left for the last 3.2 miles to Little Badger Trail #469 at the road. Rock outcrops, oak groves and old-growth ponderosa pine line the way, and loop and backpacking trips are possible. Back Country Horsemen of Oregon volunteers help maintain sections of it.
