This short trail in the Roaring River Wilderness leads from the end of Forest Road 5800-140, at 3,800 feet, to Pyramid Lake at 3,980 feet. Along the way it runs through mature forest where you might spot large game.
Heading south, the path crosses a string of meadows. The first one is wet year-round, and the trail picks up again on its far side. To reach the trailhead, turn off Highway 224 near milepost 50 onto Forest Road 57 (Oak Grove Fork Road), follow Forest Road 58, High Rock Road, for 5 miles, then bear left on Forest Road 5800-140 for 1.5 miles to the parking area.
