Three alpine lakes, Lower, Fish and Si, sit along Fish Lake Trail #717 in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area, with stands of old-growth trees in between. The trail starts at Lower Lake Campground, around 4,840 feet, and finishes on Forest Road 4690-120, around 4,160 feet.

After following the shore of Lower Lake and meeting Lodgepole Trail #706, it drops down a set of switchbacks to Fish Lake, where there are campsites. It then follows Squirrel Creek, crosses a forest road and reaches Si Lake before entering dense forest of hemlock, larch, lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, silver fir and yellow cedar. Watch for huckleberries and blueberries, and bring a rod if you like to fish.
