Creekside riding, a steep climb and groves of big Douglas fir all fit into Clear Creek Trail #487, a fairly primitive, more difficult route suited to mountain bikes. It runs about 2 miles from Clear Creek Campground, off OR 216 by way of Forest Road 2130, to Forest Road 2130-240 by Camas Prairie, where it links with Camas Trail #490A.
From the trailhead just across the Clear Creek bridge, the path heads east along the creek’s south bank over rolling ground for about a mile. It then turns south and climbs a steep half mile out of the creek bottom before leveling off. It also crosses a clearcut. Hurricane Racing and the 44 Trails Association help maintain it.
