Two trails into the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness are reached from Warren Lake Trailhead, in the Hood River Ranger District: Warren Lake Trail #417A and Mitchell Point Trail #417. Parking is a wide turnaround on Forest Road 2821, just below a gate, at roughly the 3,800-foot level.

From Hood River, take the Dee Highway about 11 miles to the Lost Lake turnoff, then follow Punchbowl Road across the Hood River’s West Fork and on to Dead Point Road (Forest Road 2820). Stay on it about 8 miles to a T-junction, then go right on Forest Road 2821 for about 2.5 miles. A blocked-off road leads north from the lot’s northwest corner. There are no toilets or drinking water.
