Frazier Turnaround is a trailhead in the Clackamas River Ranger District with plenty of room for bigger rigs. Looking south, you can see the Three Sisters, Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson and Olallie Butte. It’s a gateway to the Roaring River Wilderness and to Shellrock Lake Trail #700, Shining Lake Trail #510, Serene Lake Trail #512 and Grouse Point Trail #517, and anglers come for lake fishing.
The final 4.4 miles, on Forest Road 4610-240, are rough, narrow and full of potholes, so a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. You reach that road from Highway 224 by way of Forest Roads 57, 58 and 4610. A pit toilet is on site; drinking water is not.
