Bonney Meadows Trailhead is a gateway to the Badger Creek Wilderness in the Barlow Ranger District. It connects to the Boulder Lake, Forest Creek, Hidden Meadow and Bonney Meadows trails, and it has restroom facilities plus an information board.

From the Forest Road 48 turnoff on Highway 35 to the Bonney Meadows entrance is about 14.4 miles: 6.8 on Forest Road 48, 3.6 on Forest Road 4890, then 4 on Forest Road 4891, an unimproved road that may need high clearance or four-wheel drive. Trailers and standard cars are a poor fit for the final stretch. The trailhead has space for about four vehicles, and day users park along the shoulder nearby.
