Inside the Bull of the Woods Wilderness, Dickey Lake Trail #549 links Pansy Lake Trail #551 with Bull of the Woods Trail #550. Pair it with Mother Lode Trail #558 and you can make a loop instead of retracing your steps.

The trailhead has a large parking area and sees plenty of use. From Estacada, follow Highway 224 about 30.5 miles and continue onto Forest Road 46 for 3.7 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 63 for 5.7 miles and right on Forest Road 6340 for 7.8 miles. Bear right at the fork onto 6341 and go about 3.2 miles to the lot on the south side, before the pavement ends.
