Zig Zag Trailhead is on the east side of Mt. Hood National Forest, just off Oregon Hwy 35 in the Hood River Ranger District. Despite the similar name, it has nothing to do with the Zigzag Trail on the forest’s west side, so double-check which one you mean before you drive.
It serves the Klinger Springs Climbing Area as well as Zig Zag Trail #678, whether you’re here to hike the trail or to climb. Parking fits up to 8 vehicles. There is no drinking water, and restroom details aren’t listed, so bring water and plan ahead.
