Tamanawas Falls Trailhead is the starting point for the hike to Tamanawas Falls and one of the most heavily used trailheads in Mt. Hood National Forest. It sits on the west side of Oregon Highway 35 on the Hood River Ranger District, about 25 miles south of Hood River and a quarter mile north of Sherwood Campground.

The turn into the lot comes up quickly, so slow down as you approach. Parking is fairly roomy but often fills on nice weekends, so an early start helps. Picnic tables and interpretive signs about the river and its fish are on site. Bring your own water, since none is provided.
