Snow Bunny is a family sledding and tubing area in the Zigzag Ranger District, run by Timberline Summit Pass and sitting at about 3,850 feet. From Sandy, it’s right off US Highway 26, roughly 2.5 miles past Timberline Road. The gentler, shorter hills are near the parking lot, and the bigger, steeper ones are toward the back.

Bring your own sleds, tubes or toboggans, since nothing is rented on site. You can also set out on snowshoes or cross-country skis from here. Carry traction tires or chains in winter weather, and have another spot in mind in case the lot is full. Restrooms aren’t always available, and there’s no drinking water.
