About 60 miles of trails and shared roads make up Rock Creek OHV, a more recently developed riding area for quads and motorbikes in the Barlow Ranger District. It is reached from Forest Road 48, roughly 15 miles east of Highway 35 or 14 miles west of Wamic.

The terrain shifts from forest dotted with oaks to deep stands of fir. Elevation runs from around the 2,000-foot mark at Gate Creek Staging Area, down in the southeast, to above the 5,000-foot mark in the far northwest, so conditions can change fast. Volunteers from the Northern Oregon Motorcycle and ATV Club help build and maintain the trails, and some riders camp at dispersed sites.
