Olallie Lake Resort is a privately run lakeside base in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area, part of the Clackamas River Ranger District. Stay in a cabin or yurt or set up camp, then spend your days fishing, boating, hiking, watching for wildlife and taking in the scenery. It’s a quiet spot.

It’s also remote. There’s no cell service, the roads in are rough, and you won’t find a gas station or repair shop, so fill your tank and arrive prepared. The Forest Service lists no drinking water. From Estacada, follow Highway 224 and Forest Road 46 beyond Ripplebrook Store, then Forest Roads 4690 and 4220. From Highway 26, Forest Road 42 (Skyline Road) links to 4220.
