Olallie Lake Day Use Area sits beside Olallie Lake Resort in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area, with the lake in front of you and Mt. Jefferson rising in the distance. People come here to picnic, fish the lake and get out on the water in non-motorized boats.
Getting there takes some driving. From US Highway 26, turn south on Forest Road 42, the Skyline Road turnoff toward Timothy Lake, and follow it about 22 miles before turning left on Forest Road 4220 for roughly 12 more. Forest Road 46 offers another way in. There are vault toilets but no drinking water, so bring your own.
