McCubbins Gulch Picnic Site is a small day-use spot inside the McCubbins Gulch OHV Area in the Barlow Ranger District. Riders have come here since the early 1960s, when the area became a go-to for Portland-area dirt bikers, and while its trails were first laid out as single-track for motorcycles, many now carry ATVs too.

The picnic site has a few tables and parking for eight vehicles. There is no restroom at the site itself, but the neighboring campground has a vault toilet, and there is no potable water. From Maupin, Highway 216 runs west about 23 miles to Forest Road 2110; turn northeast and go 2 miles.
