Inside Knebal Springs Campground in the Barlow Ranger District, this trailhead is the start of the Knebal Springs Trail. To find it, take Highway 35 off Highway 26, then follow Forest Roads 44, 17 and 1720 to the campground. The trail heads out from the east side of camp.

Mountain bikers and horse groups are the most common users here, so expect to share the path. Trail #474 meets the Bottle Prairie Trail (#455), and the two combine into a loop of about 9 miles. Parking holds around 15 vehicles. There is no drinking water for people, and the spring in the campground is meant for horses.
