Frog Lake Butte Trailhead sits at the dead end of a steep four-wheel-drive spur in the Hood River Ranger District. From the top, the path loses elevation, starting in thin, scattered timber and then moving into bigger old-growth forest. It connects to Frog Lake Trail #530, which reaches Twin Lakes Trail #495 and Frog Lake Butte Trail #484.

Take Highway 26 beyond its junction with Highway 35 to the Frog Lake Sno Park, follow Forest Road 2610, then go left on the 220 spur and keep left to the top. The road gets steep near the top and is best driven after the snow melts and it dries out. There are no facilities or water.

Good to know

This road is a 4x4 road, 2 wheel drive is not recomended, the road is steep at the top. Do not attempt to go untill all the snow is melted and the road has a chance to dry out in early summer.
