Boulder Lake Trailhead is a gravel lot in the Barlow Ranger District that connects trail users to the 44 Trails System and the Badger Creek Wilderness. The only facility is an information kiosk, and there is no drinking water, so arrive with water and anything else you need for the day.

Trails reached from here include Little Boulder Trail #463A, Boulder Lake Trail #463 and Boulder Lakeshore Trail #463B. From those you can also work your way over to Forest Creek Trail and Hidden Meadows Trail, which see mostly mountain bikers after a backcountry ride. The 44 Trails Association helps keep these routes maintained.
