Along the historic Barlow Road in the Barlow Ranger District, White River Station is a campground right on the White River. Lodgepole pine is the main tree here, and much of the ground is sandy, volcanic soil. Campers come to fish the river and picnic.

From Tygh Valley, drive 26 miles west on Forest Road 48 and turn left at its junction with Forest Road 43. After about half a mile, turn left onto Forest Road 3530 and follow the river south for 1 mile. That’s about 27.5 miles from Tygh Valley to the campground. There are vault toilets, but no drinking water.
