Tilly Jane Campground and Day Use sits by Tilly Jane Creek in the Hood River Ranger District, near the boundary of the Mount Hood Wilderness. This is a high-elevation site and a natural starting point for hikes, with trails leaving right from camp, among them Tilly Jane Trail #600A.
From Hood River, head south on Highway 35 into the national forest, then take Forest Road 3510 to Forest Road 3512, which winds for several miles up to the site. That last road is very rough, so allow extra time. The campground is wheelchair accessible and has vault toilets, but there’s no drinking water. Lost Lake Resort operates it as a concessionaire.
