Stone Creek Campground sits on the shore of Timothy Lake at about 3,200 feet, with views of Mt. Hood. It has 21 tent sites and 22 RV-sized sites without electric hookups, set in separate loops, plus accessible sites and facilities. Drinking water and picnic tables are on hand. Portland General Electric runs it with the Forest Service.

Fishing and picnicking are the main activities, along with several trails to explore. A lakeshore day-use parking area has a small launch meant for kayaks, canoes and other non-motorized boats. From Sandy, take US Hwy 26 east about 40 miles, go right on Skyline Road (Forest Road 42) for 9 miles south, then head 3 miles west on Forest Road 57.
