Rock Creek Reservoir Campground sits right on the water in the Barlow Ranger District, shaded by ponderosa pines. Families and anglers both favor it, and the lakeside setting has a calm, peaceful feel. It’s also simple to reach, which helps explain why it’s such a well-used spot.
Portland drivers take US 26 east for 42 miles, OR 35 northeast for 3 and Forest Road 48 east for 22, then turn north onto Forest Road 4810. That’s 67 miles from Portland to the Forest Road 4810 turn. Bring drinking water; the campground has vault toilets, picnic spots and lake fishing.
