Along Olallie Lake’s north shore, just past the Olallie Lake Resort buildings, Paul Dennis Campground sits inside the Olallie Lake Scenic Area. Days here tend to revolve around the water, with fishing, canoeing, and picnicking, and there’s hiking too.
This is high country, and lingering snow can limit access to the lake area. From Estacada, follow Highway 224 and Forest Road 46, then Forest Roads 4690 and 4220 to the resort, or come from Highway 26 by way of Skyline Road. The campground falls under the Clackamas River Ranger District and has vault toilets, but you’ll need to bring drinking water.
