Meditation Point is a small, primitive campground on the shore of Timothy Lake, and you can’t drive to it. You arrive on foot, bike, or boat. It sits at about 3,200 feet in the Zigzag Ranger District, and Portland General Electric runs it together with the Forest Service.

To walk in, take Skyline Road south from Highway 26, cross Timothy Lake Dam, and leave the car in the West Shore Day Use Area lot, then follow the Timothy Lake Trail about 1.2 miles. Each of the seven sites has a table and fire ring, and people come to fish and picnic. There are no toilets or drinking water, so bring water and a trowel and follow Leave No Trace.
