McCubbins Gulch is a rustic campground and day-use area on the national forest’s edge in the Barlow Ranger District. It lies within the McCubbins Gulch OHV trail system, so off-highway riders use it as a base, and anyone staying here should expect to see and hear machines. Many of the shady sites sit beside a creek with fishing.
Head west from Maupin on County Road 216 for about 23 miles, then turn northeast onto Forest Road 2110 for 2 miles. There are picnic tables and vault toilets but no drinking water. Warm Springs tribal lands lie nearby and are private, so stay on forest land.
