Lower Lake Campground, in the Clackamas River Ranger District, sits on Lower Lake within the Olallie Lake Scenic Area, close to the western edge of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs lands. The lake covers just 14 acres but runs very deep, and lots of other small lakes dot the surrounding country.
Hiking, fishing and boating without a motor are the main pastimes. There’s no restroom and no drinking water, so come supplied. From Estacada, Highway 224 becomes Forest Road 46; turn east on Forest Road 4690, which changes from pavement to gravel, and continue to the Forest Road 4220 junction by the resort turnoff.
