Right off Highway 224, about 15 miles southeast of Estacada, Lazy Bend Campground sits beside the Wild and Scenic Clackamas River. It’s part of the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest, and since it’s just off the highway, there are no long back roads to drive to get here.

The Riverside Fire did extensive damage to this campground, and that fire is now part of its story. The Forest Service details shown above list what you’ll find on site, so give them a read before you plan a night by the river.

Getting there

From Estacada, OR

  1. Head southeast on Highway 224 for about 15 miles.
  2. The campground is accessed just off the highway.
