Clear Creek Crossing sits right beside Clear Creek in the Barlow Ranger District. It’s a shady, quiet spot, and the sites are fairly roomy, with sparse undergrowth beneath the trees. Clear Creek Trail #487 can be reached from the campground, and the creek offers fishing close to camp.

From Maupin, it’s about 28 miles in all. Head west on Highway 216 for roughly 25 miles, then turn northwest onto Forest Road 2130 for about 3 more. Facilities are basic, with vault toilets and room to picnic but no drinking water, so pack in what you’ll drink.
