Right beside Badger Lake in the Barlow Ranger District, this campground is one of the main gateways into the Badger Creek Wilderness. Hikers can set out on the Badger Lake and Badger Creek trails, and anglers can fish the lake as well as nearby streams.

Plan on a rough drive. The usual routes follow Forest Roads 48 and 4860 from Highway 35 or from Tygh Valley, and the final spur can call for high clearance or four-wheel drive. Ordinary cars are not a good match for these roads. Facilities are basic, with vault toilets and no drinking water, and horses and pack animals are allowed.
