Eagle Creek Trailhead in Clackamas County is a small trailhead that gives the farthest-west entry into the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness, in the Zigzag Ranger District. From here, Eagle Creek Trail #501 travels beside Eagle Creek through old-growth western red cedar, western hemlock and Douglas fir.

Parking holds up to 10 small vehicles, and there’s no drinking water, so bring your own. From US Highway 26 just east of Sandy, the drive follows a chain of local roads, among them SE Firwood Road, SE Eagle Fern Road and SE George Road, ending on SE Harvey Road at the parking area. The trail starts downhill from the lot.
