Primitive and right on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Clackamas River, Sunstrip Campground is in the Clackamas River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. From Estacada, it’s about 21 miles east along Highway 224.

The Riverside Fire caused extensive damage to this campground. As a primitive site, it suits campers who arrive self-sufficient and ready to manage on their own. The Forest Service details shown above list what’s on site, so review them before planning a stay along the river.
