Ponderosa pines stand well spaced around Knebal Springs, a campground and day-use area in the Barlow Ranger District. Right next door is Knebal Springs Trail, a 10-mile loop that mountain bikers and horseback riders favor. Others come simply to picnic, look at the plants and take in the scenery.
