Green forest wraps around Gone Creek Campground, which sits right at the edge of Timothy Lake at about 3,200 feet in the Zigzag Ranger District. From Highway 26, take Skyline Road (Road 42) south for 9 miles, then head west on Forest Road 57 for about a mile to the entrance.

Portland General Electric operates the campground together with the Forest Service. Lake fishing and picnicking are the usual pastimes, and campers have their own boat launch. Barrier-free campsites and restrooms are available, and the site has vault toilets and drinking water.
