Along the east shore of Clear Lake sits this Hood River Ranger District campground. From Sandy, drive east on Highway 26 for roughly 35 miles, then take Forest Road 2630 for about a mile.

Clear Lake isn’t a natural lake. It was created, and is still managed, to supply irrigation water to farms outside the forest, so the water level usually drops as summer goes on. Fishing and picnicking are the main activities. The campground is wheelchair accessible, with vault toilets and drinking water.
